Just try and sell that story to Orida"Big watery potato" and get ready to get laughed out of town. Small growers just cant compete with potato growers who do Ks of acres yearly.Just no way to cost compete with the big growers. Trucks, multi pickers.tractors, wind rowers, fertilizer quantity, spraying(air craft spraying) bug killers, warehousing, rock pickers, keeping hands year after year, mechanics, drivers etc, the list goes on. Lots of big bucks to insure a favorable harvest. Not talking small road stand produce sellers. A couple of acres of potato's HARDLY MAKES FOR EXPERT ADVICE!!!!.If thats the necessary criteria for selling , maybe we can sell our little patch to Orida, LOL. LOU.
