Have disassembled subject & have found the following. 1) One broken centering spring. The other springs, 2 balls & plungers, bearings, races & seals look good. Is it highly recommended to replace all 3 springs?
When I called YT about seals kit they asked if it was "orbital control valve"? Well yeah it's round, but FO20 doesn't describe "orbital". So is the orbital kit the correct kit?
When I rotated the steering shaft I could feel considerable resistance about 1/2 way through turn either direction. Too much resistance to rotate w/ pitman arm but could get it to rotate with my hand on the shaft (no steering wheel). So I disassembled & found lots of rust on spacer tooth double sector, cleaned all parts & housing.
2) Steering shaft bearings look good. Sector bushings on the cover look lightly scored & there is about 1/64 play side to side with the sector removed from the housing. Sector shafts are tight side to side but a little end play <1/64" when installed in housing. I didn't find the sector bushing available on YT. There is a diagonal groove on each bushing that looks like a mfg. mark. Is this to gauge replacement? None of the wear marks are as deep as the diagonal groove. How much wear is allowed before bushings must be replaced?
I plan on replacing all the O rings & gasket. I don't have a puller for seals or bushings of this size, but don't mind buying one. If the seals look good, is it ok to leave them? I sure don't want to have to take all this steering stuff off & apart again but not sure that I can get them out & replaced on gear housing cover (top & bottom), adapter (bottom), & gear housing (next to bushing on each sector). I figured the seals could be tappped back in using a socket, but the bushings pressed in using the vise.

Today's Featured Article - Usin Your Implements: Bucket Loader - by Curtis Von Fange. Introduction: Dad was raised during the depression years of the thirties. It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
