I live about 18 miles due north of rrlund. We got the winds, I estimated conservatively at 60mph - (I"m a trained weather spotter.) Lots of tree damage. Been out of power from 2:30am Thursday until about 9:00am today. About bacause they had it on for an hour, and dumped it again for an hour before resuming it. Much tree damage including a 50-60 yr old apple tree in my front yard, snapped at the rootline. Much other tree damage throughout the area, many power outages. We ran one generator in shifts, two on, one off, to provide power for watering animals, keeping freezers & refrigerators going. Finally put a second one online so we could run some fans and get a shower. Gene balked when wife turned on washer - threw a breaker. Went through at least 15 gallons of gasoline. Wasn"t a cheap outage for us, but at least our freezers are still good. Would have been very costly if we had lost even one. Lost our wi-fi, antenna redirected 45 degrees off course. Ging to be a 90 foot climb on the radio tower at the barn to get that one straightened out. Using dial-up right now. Man is that slow.
