2N's, 9N's 8Ns will always be the subject of debate, especially now after all these years, but they were not a bad option if you wanted to change from a team of horses, matter of preference and opinion I suppose.
I used to rake hay with one here, way back when, was fine for that, dedicated so you did not have to change implements.
I think a lot of people take things for granted, I mean that we have high and mighty expectations now after all these years with tractors and equipment, sometimes you need to work with what you have and be happy with it.
Thats aside from designs and features that you may not like, do not function as they should or are faulty. I can think of many reasons to prefer another tractor over another or want something set up or a model to be used for a purpose, given the work I want to do with it.
One of the things I used to pride myself on when working in the site work field was that the field super would put me on any machine, and I'd do the best I could, even though there were brand new or late model machinery in the fleet, its nice to have an operator who does not discriminate and bias themselves about older or less than desirable machines, used to hear it often, I like that guy, you can put him on any machine and he won't b$tch about it, realizing, it all pays the same!
