What kind of GPS units do some of ya'll have, and what has been your experience with them?
I started with a Garmin Nuvi 200 about four years ago. It was flawless until it got old enough to not recognize some addressses in new developments, and it cost some $70 to dupdate it.
Last winter, I got a Garmin Nuvi 1300LM with lifetime free updates. It's junk. There's a link on Garmin's website to report errors, and I reported that there were so many errors in this 1300LM that I couldn't begin to record them all. Naturally, I never heard back.
I've been using the 1300 as the main unit, but still carry the 200 as a backup, and I've bailed myself out with the 200 several times.
Starting today, I'm going back to the 200 and will use the new 1300 as a backup till I resolve something.
