All of the females I have ever been around think that if it will go under a mower deck it is supposed to cut it off. This includes: fence post(anything shorter than four foot), survey stakes (steel rebar drove in the ground four foot with a red cap), concrete foundation that has been in the same place for 50 years, any type of wire/cable under inch in diameter, Barbed wire ( 1 st wife wrapped fifty foot of it under our first lawn mower. Took me all day to remove it and fix the mower deck),etc.
I have found that it is just easier to mow myself rather than have to fix what the females that have lived in my house will break or get stuck.
