Hi Christopher -

We have the same problem with ours. We can get either/or action - proper lift arm control, or remote control - by unscrewing or tightening the two switch valves - the 1/4" or 5/16" rods visible on the front of the valve below the two spools, with slots for a flat screwdriver.

I'll be interested too to see if somebody else has the magic formula!

Meantime we turn screws!
