Then as I tighten the rail bolts, and the bolts from behind, I can feel the crank get harder to turn every time I give the bolts another turn. When the gap is completely closed, I can no longer turn the crank by hand. Thanks,for any help. You must have some kind of thrust problem. The input shaft of the transmission must not be going into the clutch easily enough or into the pilot bushing easily enough. Did you check these before you put the clutch together? Did you use a clutch aligning tool when you assembled the clutch?
