: :John: You need a25 watt resistor sold at any International Dealer. It's a ceramic job about a half inch square and 3 inches long.A metal mounting bracket encircles it. The starter will work fine, just don't hang on it too long. : I've several conversions like this. Don't forget to convert your light to 12 Volt bulbs. : good Luck. Andy Delco has an alternator that is neg ground (which won't make any difference to the starter etc.) and is a one-wire system. this unit has a built-in regulator and eliminates the 'extra'wires --just cut them off and tape them up. Your alt./starter repair shop can get it for you . It will work on any unit that a little mounting ingenuity won't solve ! Dan Koob
