When I was in training for my CDL, I was told if you notice a Windstar or Buick in the mirror, they will do something stupid when they get up alongside you.
Wouldn't you know, he was right?
I love getting on the highway here. Usually, doing the speed limit or close to it, I have at least one person behind me that wants to do 10 over but is afraid to pass, even if I slow down and give them room. There was an old white F250 that was real bad about it, no matter how bad the roads, he'd always be a half a truck length off my bumper.
Had a red Volvo pass one of our trucks on the right this summer during wheat harvest. In town. Pulling a tank. When asked on the CB what he was doing, he said passing somebody who can't do the speed limit.
He got real quiet when it was pointed out that, using the shoulder, he passed someone who was already 5 over.
The worst ones around here are the parents in the mornings. Kids in town who go to a different high school are ferried out to the rest area by their parents to meet the bus. They do 15 over in town, to do 10 under on the highway. And when you run a quart of 2-stroke per tank of fuel to lube the injection pump in your old Cummins, you will still be leaving a heavy black cloud for them to drive through at 70 when you pull back in front of them.

From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
