Needed a stove pipe elbow and figured I'd just go across the street from work to a local owned/operated place..... Walk in and bubba is settin behind the counter havin a sammich and reading a magazine. 2 elbows on display (different types) but the one I needed didn't have one in a box on the shelf. Shelf was dusty so it didn't just get empty. Asked if I could just take the display and bubba (hans in this case) says no that he'd look for one in a box (bar code yaknow)... mosey'd off and came bach about 10 minutes later drinkin a coke and had a raggedy box... Box had the bar code boogered up and he couldn't scan it. Grabbed it and his coke and headed back to the stock room.... I left and drove a couple miles to the BB store, picked up what I needed, and was back to work in the time it took me to go local and wait on the first stockroom trip.....
