It"s amazing how many people are pretty much sticking up for this lady. So many people on the outside don"t understand the upkeep on a horse. They aren"t like cows where you just throw over some hay and make sure they have water. Yes you could strike up an argument saying "wild horses are just fine and they don"t get pampered like domesticated horses". That is the problem, we have domesticated them making us responsible for their care. In a paddock they don"t wear down their feet like they would in the wild, and many horses in the wild die from injuries/lack of food etc. As for how this lady treated the horses, the horses were extraordinary. It clearly was a hoarding situation. A lot of the mares were pregnant and they and their babies had to be euthanized because they were either aborting the foals because of malnutrition or the birthing process would compromise their lives due to their bodies. No one should be making excuses for this woman.
