All four cylinder engines vibrate. Two sets of rods are moving up and down opposite of one another. The heaver the rods and pistons the greater vibration it will experience.
Engines solid mounted to a frame/chassis almost must have a balancer. A balancer is also better for operator comfort.
Four cylinder car engines generally do not have balancers, they are lighter and a lot of engineering work is done on rubber isolators, their placement, angle, etc.
I can't comment on other Ag equipment but bet if the engine is solid mounted it has a balancer.
