Myself and Buick man and other electricians, engineers and techs always get a kick (A scare actually) out of the gents who (regarding very basic and simple 120/240 volt Single Phase Three Wire residential Service) confuse the purpose and difference among the Live Hot Phase Conductor, the Neutral (Its a GrounDED Conductor) and the Safety Equipment GroundING Conductor and mistakenly think you can mix n match and substitute or switch one for another (even if yes it can still be made to work!!!) and all I can say is...........
PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN OR YOUR FAMILYS LIFE SAFETY,, PLEASE PLEASE DONT DO IT and consult a trained competent and experienced professional if in doubt...

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
