Friends 2020 quit, they brought me the carb, I cleaned, blew with compressed air, torch tip cleaner, all orfices, jets were clear, overall carb was relatively clean and no issues. He brought the kit for this carb, I believe its a type C, 3 shown on the cut sheet. I replaced needle valve, seat, and whatever was in the kit, I'd list it but I do not have the cut sheet in front of me, basically cleaned and replaced any parts provided in the rebuild kit. It appeared the old gasket had a tear in it over the right float. He says gas is pooling in the air intake, near where it connects to oil bath cleaner.
I've done many carbs over the years, this one seems quite simple, there was at one time that solenoid, so pricey they replaced it with that adjustable and or shut off needle, in any case it seems the gas pooling is the issue, and I'm wondering what I may have missed, seems real odd.
