One other thing I meant to say about black funerals: those attending invariably wear their best attire, a befitting show of respect for the deceased. (Yes, I have attended black funerals.) White funerals seem to have become very casual affairs. I have been appalled at how some people---even family members---have dressed. Guess I'm just too old-fashioned for this hip new world.
