I always figured I would NEVER forget when we moved into our current house we built. It was New Years Eve 1979 near the stroke of midnight me and the first wife were laying on the cold earth under our crawlspace hooking up the last of the ABS drain pipes so we could have all the plumbing working to move in New Years day 1980. All that plastic pipe glue and solvent in that not well ventilated crawl space bout had us loopy lol
Now we raised 3 kids here, couple grandkids here tonight (we will go to bed by 11) and most of the farm I subdivided and sold off, time for us to sell out get a small home and hit the roads more in the RV.
A body gets sentimental on New years, watch this video if you can get through it, Chet seems to have a hard time doing it himself.
But as I look back Im reminded of my good friend Jimmy from St Joe who says "Its been a good ride"
"If you ever wonder why you ride the carousel, you do it for the stories you can tell, Oh the stories we can tell" Jimmy Buffett

Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
