Gary, I, also, have an 1810 hydro. It has the most lousy cutting deck (44") of any mower I've used. If the lawn isn't kept close, the deck will just push over the grass and not cut it. I've taken off the guards that make the discharge cuttings bunch up and I've modified the under side but can't get it to mow very well unless the lawn is kept close. Do you have any similar problems? If so have you overcome them? I would appreciate any suggestions. I'm ready to start cutting on this deck to let the grass go into the blades without pushing it over. Ken McWilliams
