Hello Paul, My grandfather was born in Aldrich, Mo 1899 and my dad lives in Aldrich currently. I remember stories of grandpa hunting and trapping along the river bottom to help feed the family. A branch of Stockton lake sits below Aldrich. I have heard stories when they moved the town to the hill to make lake stockton. My grandfather was given 5 lots on the bluff for the land he owned on the bottom ground. The area is beautiful and full of wildlife. My dad is currently retired on the Aldrich bluff.
