Hi Davin, My grandfather and his brothers owned 300 acres of the bottom land just north of the town. There land went almost up to the Orleans bridge. When the lake went in the army corp took the entire place for $5000 and pushed down all the buildings. My grand father built some very nice stone corner post and they are all still standing. His name was Walter Shuler. He passed soon after I was born. In fact they are all gone now.
