I have been around for 60 plus years. I will stated without a doubt that this current generation is the worse when it comes to morals. I count my own sons in this. There is 18 years between the youngest and the oldest. That is really like two different generations.
The oldest has aways kept his word from a young age. The middle boys do a little worse but general OK. The youngest just started to straighten out 2-3 years ago. Up until then it was a crap shot if he kept his word or not. He was raised just the same but with a different set of piers. His friends are the first ones of all my kids that are not allowed in my shop unless I am there. I know that several of them have stolen off me. I caught one of them and the law did SQUAT to him.
Pretty much any one under about fifty is on probation with me for a while. This is a sad way to be but life has taught me this the hard way several times.
