After getting the drill gone over and some parts fixed I hooked it up to the Oliver 1550 gas up to the drill. Was going to use my 1550 diesel but the injector pump is acting up so its down till planting is done. After a few adjustments and some guessing me and dad got her going. The 1550 handled it just fine, I can see some wheel slippage but not to much, Duels would help as the tires on it are 13.6x38s on the tractor. Lots of stops to check things out and check the depth witch can be a trick as the ground changes. All and all the first 10 acres went pretty smooth, We will see how good it dose tomorrow. I am drilling in standing corn stocks now and its not having any problems with them plugging up. I will finish them up tomorrow and go into some of last years bean stubble so we will see how it goes. Hopefully I can finish up by Wednesday nite as its going to start raining again. Anyway conditions aren't perfect but its seams to be working good anyway. Hear is a few pics of how things went today.
