I finally got some time to myself and decided to start cutting the back field. Took the little Fordson Dexta Dsl out with a 5 ft bushhog. Started around the field nice and slow getting as close to the edge as I could. Got smacked a few time from the limbs, guess it comes with the job!!! After I got out from the trees, it was so relaxing just to sit back and enjoy the blue sky, evening breeze, watching the sun going down.
Everything was great until I got into some thick stuff and shifted down to low range. Was cutting up some thick stuff when a Huge Copperhead (3 ft long aleast 3 inches thick)came out of the weeds & under the tractor. He was moving pretty quick. Didn"t get him with the bushhog but scared the crap out of me. He was with in about 6 to 8 inches from my foot rest. Though he was going to come up on the tractor with me!! Was thinking what I was going to do. I did not want to jump off and find one of his friends and I wasn"t going to stay on the tractor with him!!!! Oh well glad he turned and decided to let me keep the tractor!!!!! I have never seen a Copperhead that big. He must have been eating well!!!!!
Oh well hope you guys got a visual of me trying to dance in my seat!!!!!
