I wish I had a picture of the lawn mower that we bought at the sale in Archbold years ago. It was a push mower, but there was a belt that ran from a pulley under a cover above the blade that ran another shaft and pulley behind the motor. That pulley was on a hollow shaft. There was a cart that went behind it that had something similar to a tie rod end for a hitch. The pin on that went in to the center of that shaft. There was a twisted v belt that went to the axle on the cart. When you wanted it to go,you stepped on a pedal that tightened the belt and you had a self propelled/riding lawn mower. You didn't stand up like these big commercial things you see,it had a seat. This thing wasn't more than 26 inch cut maybe. The thing was factory made.
