tractor for haying

i need to know if a ford 2000 3cyl gas is going to have enough power to run a haybine and a bailer with kicker. i am just getting into this after purchasing a former farm and dont want to waste money. there are three in my area and they seem to be going for around 3-4000 depending on years and options, isthis a reasonable price for a clean tractor? any advice would be helpful.
