One of the boys helped me yesterday and we filled the last corn crib. It was touch and go in a few wet spots,so good thing we got it. We had more rain overnight with more on the way. We left two loads on the wagons to grind since I don't know when I'll be able to get back out there in the mud. There are about 12 loads left,I'll just have to pile it on the ground.
There are three loads that I'll have to chop. I finished one side of the field with come seed that I bought for silage corn. The darned stuff is supposed to be seven days earlier maturing than the rest, but I can bite right in to it like sweet corn. I've chopped two loads already, been running a little out on the ground to the cows every day.
I want to get the stalks on the 15 acres that I picked last week cut and baled before I give much thought to picking and piling the rest.
