Log splitters have to be one of the most popular "one of builds" there's always someones rendition of one for sale, see them often in the local craigslist.
There sure are so many ways to build one, just in these current ads, always see them ranging from hand pump, electric some with 2way split, most are small engine, but also as large this 65HP 4 cylinder model with 2 splitting stations. Most are older ones, including the common low to the ground ie; like a Didier or similar etc. Even in new models, there certainly are some large ones before you get to any of the various processors, always ads for these posted.
What kind of wood do you get or is in the photo? It looks like black cherry from here, it's the same color after some seasoning.
