I have been gathering the parts to make a splitter. I have two steering cylinders from a junked out cat scraper. I plan on also stacking them but only plumbing it so one retracts the splitter. Then if any oil gets past the piston it go back to the tank and dirt won't get in the cylinder. I may be kidding myself by using two cylinders as the are 5 inches or more. I haven't tried to calcuate the force it will have but i also have a 12 X 12 ibeam with 1 inch web. Need to get it put together, maybe next year.
