With the ongoing situation regarding 22 ammo getting anyone a 22 is a complete waste of time. They end up with a 22 cal. club. I got two grandsons Henry lever actions last year and my last coming-of-age grandson a 22 auto which is what he wanted this year. But, trying to find ammo for them here abouts is impossible. I finally found a gunshop that had 4 bricks of 22LR at $50.00 a brick!!! At that price, instead of buying each one a brick, I bought one and split it. What is going on? Surely after a year of hording the profiters have bought enough! I went to about a dozen retailers that usually sell it and only that one had any. The stocks of other ammo is going up but not that.
