Mr. King and Mr. Hard--Thanks you for your good information. I still have a question. Across the battery at 1500 rpm my meter reads 6.24 volts. Is that sufficient enough to rule out the generator because when I take a voltage reading on the generator it shows between 1.64 and 1.65 output. does this indicate the voltage regulator in your opinion?
