70-71 IH cub value-restored

have found a restored 70-71 IH Cub with the old L-head 4 cyl. offset engine and tall tires. Owner knows nothing about it but says he paid 2500 for it and wants same. Has a belly mower and runs very well and has no problems (I checked)
Is it worth it and what the heck model could this be any way?
