We always had trouble getting guys during the day. They could not leave work. A fire during the day usually saw me and one or two guys plus the chief show up. They finally put on a couple of full timers but then those guys took the trucks and left before volunteers got there and handled 95% of the calls before we could get on scene. So then volunteers got discouraged and left. I moved away. Now they are all full time I think and the cost must be huge. Community did not change that much.
