Not sure if there is some sort of master link. $250 sounds pretty reasonable if I remember. There are a few ways to get the cylinder rod pulled out but having done it before the easiest is to put down the stabilizers so the 'hoe is dead level, left to right, then extend the hoe all the way out leaving the bucket about 3 feet off the ground. Then loosen the 'combination valve' bleeders (one on both sides located behind the hoe assembly. Push the bucket, by hand, to the right side. Put the end of any large chain link through the right cylinder eyelet and looph the other end of the chain through the boom pivot. Now push the bucket to the left side. Both cylinders should be fully extended now. Won't work unless the bleeders are open and free flowing.
