Was able to pull the cyl out far enough to get the chain pin out and am now working on the pin that links the two chains to the swing arm. Pulled the lower cotter pin but the hoses are in the way from pushing the pin up. Tried I unboltng the hose keepers but can't get enough slack to move them around enough so now I'm working on getting at the top cotter pin out to push it out the bottom. Lots of greasy oily dirt in there! I hope I'm on the right track...
