My one almost claim to fame was back when I was in high school 30 years ago...I parked my truck down in the alleyway and during the winter plugged in the block heater. I always wanted to know if the cord was hooked up to power, so one day I made an adapter that had a lightbulb in it. I could now see if it was plugged in from afar. I even had it packed up and ready to mail in to Thexton or someplace like that to patent it...never put the stamp on it. Guess what almost every extension cord has these days? Yep, a lighted end. Oh well...

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
