I think it was 92 that was so cold wasn't it? There was a volcano that blew if memory serves me right. We had a killing frost the first week of September that year. Killed the corn before it was dented. Dent was way behind because of lack of growing degree days. I remember I went to cut hay August 10th that year,had my insulated coveralls on,yellow fuzzy gloves and before I got to the field I was wishing I had put my stocking cap on.
