If your plan A is to bury some valuables so that you can retrieve them later to pay for your old age care, you better start working on plan B.
Ever been to an old folks home? Ever worked in one? Its chucked full of people with stories of great wealth that they would gladly share with you, if you take the time to sit down with them to listen for a few minutes. "Oh, sonny, will you take a few extra minutes and pull the dingle berries off me and rub my bunions? If you do, I will give you some of the coins I buried years ago." Ya, that dont work because the stories are never true, the family has always plundered anything of worth years before anybody gets dropped off at the people warehouse. Any "hidden" treasures are either gone because the old person ran their lips years ago (and somebody stole it) or the old person simply cant remember where the loot is. Bottom line: hidden valuables or buried goods lose 100% of its value to the person that hid them the moment a person is unable to remember where it is or dig it up themselves. So if thats your plan A, you better work on a plan B... just saying...
