My Ford 600 ran great when I parked it last winter, but now is not getting spark to the plugs. So, changed points and condenser, but still no plug spark. I turned the key on to see if I could get a spark from the points, but nothing. But when I stuck my screwdriver between the cam on the distributor and the points, it sparked and the motor turned over. So I thought the wire from the coil to the distributor was shorting out so I ran a wire directly to the points but still only get the spark when I touch the cam and side of the points? Suggestions?
