I heard just a day or two ago that there is a trend among young people to not drive, although they were talking about in cities where they don't need to because public transport is available and they still live at home and don't have money for a car. There is no public transport within 15 mile of where I live, but my neighbors and a friend both have sons who don't drive. They are both in their mid twenties, don't work, sleep most of the day and play computer games all night. Both were pulled out of public school because they were picked on, and both are very frightened of driving.
