Well folks, looks like we are through gathering our wood for this winter, The tree was over 100 years old,as I got tired of counting the rings. The loggers brought our 10 cord plus .74/100 of a cord. So now we are ahead for next years heating. The tree was huge in comparison by any standard we have cut. The tree belonged to our neighbor who let us cut it up . Three years ago it was blown and split from a winters wind and snow accumulation,so it is dry.Our supplier brought size of the big trees limbs. We are sure thankful for the equipment to lift, drag plus load it on the 1 ton. Dozer sure saves the back and shoulder pain. Tractor lift does its job once it is brought up to the top of the drive. sure happy its more then enough to put us through the winter. We ran short last year, so we had to scrounge enough to carry us through. Thought you might like th pictures .Daughter is down at the bottom cutting her winters wood plus she had about 4 cord left over from last years supply. Well folks KEEP WARM. Winters almost upon us. Regards LOU/
