The clutch went out of this truck March 2013. It appeared that the studs that hold the Y-pipe to the manifolds had never been touched. I didn't have the means to deal with them so I took it to a local garage. The engine got tired shortly after that (221,000 miles) and I acquired another vehicle so I took it off the road. I had another engine that had been rebuilt. My mechanic daughter is here to help me change engines. I didn't notice the missing pilot bearing until I was putting the flywheel and clutch on the fresh engine yesterday. I have seen cases where the needles are gone but the shell of the bearing is still there. There is NO trace of a bearing in this one.
