Question: Sugar Cane Aphids invaded us this year. Came in around mid July. Understand they came from La. via Ak. last year and into N. TX. this year.
In about 3 days they had completely ruined my sudan-sorghum cross hay regrowth for the second cutting. Tops of leaves were slick and gooey, what had been beautiful green leaves were mostly yellow, bottom of leaves were covered with little brown bugs.
What do you guys use to control them and since I haven't renewed my applicator's license in a while being I and retired and my acreage is under the minimum, do you know if the product is off the shelf or requires a permit. I know TX and LA are different states but probably share restricted chemicals.
