Howdy Lou. I wish you a successful season. Mine has been a good one so far eventhough no blood has been shed, sitting with 20yo grandson. I go unarmed these days but what's the use,I didn't carry ammo final 2 years I carried a rifle. The boy shot his first buck with the 99 Savage passed to me in 1966 by my 85 yo grandfather. Long after Poppa was laid to rest,he,the 99 and me hunted just as sure as we did from the first day I sat on his lap almost forgetting to breath I was so excited. If you don't have grandkids interested in hunting, borrow one that noone else will take time to teach. How many years you have left is up to you. I have several judging by history. Those 3 rounds you touched off last year weren't misses, just go to he!! shots. If it happens this year just tell the son anyone can hit standing deer, you wanted to see if he could hit one running.
