I am helping a fellow on a Ford 7.8 liter Brazilian made Diesel motor. It is leaking around the barrels. When I looked closer at the pump I am pretty sure the housing is corroded where the barrels seat. So a seal kit may not Fix the problem. I am wanting to find a remanufactured pump to just exchange.
I am not find much out by application. The tag on the pump is not very clear to read. I have got some numbers for sure and others just maybe.
The number that is stamped into the side of the pump that I am 100% sure of is: 950 18855.
Then down in the right hand corner there is: RM2 stamped that is very clear.
Then printed on the tag is P??OA720 RS. The two ?? marked letters look like W O but they are not very clear.
None of these numbers say what they are like model, series or serial number. I am not familiar with inline Bosch pumps to know what else to look for.
So do any of you fellows know which of these numbers is what I need to look for on a different injection pump????
A fellow that is pretty good on the rest of the engine knowledge on the 7.8 told me that this is a tractor derived/designed motor. Neither of us know if this engine is used on any Ford tractors.
I know that this engine was used in the US from about 1985 to 1999. They are not a power house but a pretty rugged motor. I see them in a lot of dump trucks.

I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
