Bought a new Malibu yesterday....haven't had a Chevy since I bought a new Beretta in '94. I wasn't planning on buying new, but my GM credit card bumped up my points from 600 to 3000 if we bought before March 1, so I talked the wife into going for a test drive and she liked the first one we drove. We got over $4000 in rebates and past customer points, $1000 bonus for trading in the Camry and saved another $1100 in sales tax with a trade. I don't usually trade in, but I was within $500 of what I felt I would be able to gain by selling on my own, so I avoided the hassle. I think this is one scenario where buying new was a better deal than buying used. The Camry was 7000 miles from being out of drivetrain warranty and I have read the 2012's have had issues...and we had one already. Malibu also has a lot better road feel and rated at 4mpg better with the same size engine. Only thing I really didn't care for was the new start/stop eco system, but will see how it goes.
To keep it on topic, I sold the Allis 190 when I got home....so it was a "cash positive" day :D

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
