Thank you Larry. Now I want to get out the folding ice shack. Been stored for so many years the mice probably have holes chewed in it. I don't have much of an 'internal' heater so sitting outside in the cold doesn't appeal to me.
The last time I went ice fishing I took dad along. He never was much of a fisherman and has a fear of water. We drove out on the lake a quarter mile or so and while we drove he had his hand on the door handle the whole time. Then we set up the shack and started fishing but the action was slow. Around noon the sun came out and warmed the ice making it groan and creak and crack and that was enough for dad. The sound was magnified inside the shack and he was as nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof so we went home.
