Sounds to me like some of you guys are thinking that I am looking to get into gang fights or something! Thats not it at all!
If a person attacked me with a small knife or gun or something, I would be to bold to surrender, I would probably just lay one on him.
This here is a Black Bear / Moose / Cougar / whatever knife!
I am not saying that I will ever need it, but I am going out and doing a lot more "remote" stuff on my own, and I think that it is time to kick it up a notch from my folding knife...
The other thing I don't like about folding knives, is that in most cases, they are not quick and easy to get out! Most of mine take two hands to open, and a brief second of concentration, a straight blade (be it any size) is MUCH easier to get out, and once it is out, it is already open!?
