: Several years ago the clutch stuck on my Super A. At that time I was able to free it up by pulling it a few feet with it in gear and with the clutch pedal depressed. Today I started it for the first time since the end of snow plowing season and the clutch is stuck. I have tried freeing it the same way as before with no luck. What causes a clutch to be fine, sitting month after month for years without sticking, then sticking in a period of 3 or 4 months ? I'm thinking of getting a buddy to try pulling me on some pavement with his one ton truck, any warnings? Is there a better way? I suppose I can always split the tractor. John Start the engine and let it reach operating temperature. Stop engine. Put tractor in 4th gear. Start engine and drive with clutch disengaged (pedal pushed down) until it comes free. Is there a netural safety switch? You will have to by pass it. Good luck.
