we had the same thing with my m-i-l. my b-i-l finally had her phone taken out as lots of phoney baloney tv preachers were scamming her. she was living in retirement home so she didn't need phone mrs 730 did miss calling her thou but understood why taking phone out was needed. the worst one thou was her own minster would come to visit her with his had out he took her for $12000 plus in one year that we knew about. she always had cash in her pocket which she would give away until b-i-l found out what was going on. he would give her a few dollars so she had some money.
