I know it is fairly normal to hear foul language in certain venues. I use it myself more often than I like. I never feel good about it, however, or feel it should be normalized or, worse yet, aspired to. Preferably kept as a form of punctuation when you want to really emphasize something and then only rarely. I resent the implication that, if you are blue collar or don't wear a tie to work, that you are somehow a lower life form and not expected to conform to the standards of society. We need to stop lowering standards. Stop pandering to the kid just because he is a kid. I think he has potential. Slapping his hand when he steps over the line just helps him on the road to life. That is all the moderator was doing in this case.
